World book day fail!

Today marks World Book Day!
Children all over the world are dressing up in their favorite story book characters and heading off to nursery or schook

All except mine! More specifically Jack.

Yet again I have forgotten to do anything about a costume, and in actual fact I don’t even know if the nursery is allowing dressing up today- I can’t find the recent newsletter to check.

Plus I haven’t been able to get out to go into town since I still can’t drive yet – one more week to go!

I asked Jack who his favorite story book character was and he said minecraft Steve! Once I told him he wasn’t in a story book he then said Spiderman… Will let him have that since it’s a comic I guess..

Maybe next year I will be organised….

Lucy: 1 month old!

I actually meant to post this last week. You are almost 5 weeks old!

wpid photogrid 1393717145779 Lucy: 1 month old!

If feels like you have been with us for ever and I can’t believe you are a month old already!

You have settled in well, and you are still taking feeds every 2 hours though sometimes 3! You don’t keep me up for long during the night after achange and bottle. You do love you cuddles though about 4/5am which gives us a lie in until 7am. For that I am grateful icon smile Lucy: 1 month old!

I have been trying to get you in your babasling so can give you cuddles during the day when you are windy but we aren’t having much luck getting it right, so I will need to look into a soft wrap until you get a wee bit bigger icon smile Lucy: 1 month old!

Time is flying

Oh my god, has it really been a week since I posted my last #silentSunday picture!?

Where on earth has this week gone? Time just seems to be flying by that I seem to lose days and weeks in this case!

Life with three kids is tiring, Lucy has settled in well with the rest of the family.
She is feeding every 2 hours at the moment even during the night, so to say I am tired is a slight understatement.

I am bloody exhausted.

You forget how tiring a newborn is icon smile Time is flying despite only doing this 15 months ago with Max its amazing how quick you forgot and how quick it comes back to you.

Lucy is showing the same feeding and temprement as Jack. Max would go every 4 hours between feeds and sleep through the night from 4 weeks old. Lucy (and Jack) like I say is feeding every 2 hours, sometimes 3 hours. The night feeds don’t really bother me, it’s when I need to get up with the boys at 7am that is the killer, as I am usually just getting back into a sleep again.

In actual fact I should just get up especially if it’s 5:30/6am, but I don’t, as I want to catch as many hours sleep as I can. There isn’t scope to nap during the day when Jack at nursery as Max is beginning to fight the lunchtime nap. icon sad Time is flying

Hope she will be sleeping through in a couple of weeks time and I can get s decny nights sleep. *fingers crossed*

Happy Valentine’s day

I hope you all have had a great day icon smile Happy Valentines day
Not that you need one specific day to show how much you love your significant other.

I got a lovely card and a bottle of my favorite alcoholic drink – Disaronno. Yum! Looking forward to haveing a wee drink of that later on.

Jack is spending the night with nana and once the littles are sleeping me and hub are going to snuggle on the couch and watch some tv.

How did you spend your Valentine’s?

Two weeks already

Has it really only been two weeks since we had little Lucy?
In some ways it feels like only yesterday and others a lifetime ago.

wpid PhotoGrid 1392294419255 Two weeks already

The transition from two to three kids, for me at the moment is huge. I am still very sore which is understandable considering I have just had major abdominal surgery, but I feel helpless.

There is so much to do around the house, that I need to do it otherwise it wouldn’t get done. Last week I took it easy, bit this week I have been pushing a little too hard, and in turn my scar is sore. Granted I haven’t needed painkillers for a few days, but boy do I need them now.

Everyone is saying that I need to take it easy and just sit down and I guess I  should but me being me I can’t – everything that need to be done, needs done now.

The whole being out of commission for 6 weeks with 3 kids is a killer, I’m not going to lie. I can’t wait to be able to drive again – I think it’s the fact that I am not allowed to that is making me want to go and drive. As really when I have the car I don’t really go any where other than to my mums house.

February prompt: 2014 goal update

1. Update your readers on your 2014 goals. How are things going? Are you staying on track or facing some challenges?

Oh well really my goals so far are progressing very slowly.

I am facing some challenges with regards to the whole declutter and organization the house.
That seems to be the biggest thing that just doesn’t seem to moving in the right direction, in fact the opposite!

There just seems to be more stuff being accumulated than there is going out the door to charity shops or the bin, and I have no idea where it’s coming from!

Once little one arrives it’s going to be hard to help move and carry stuff for a few weeks following my section, so that is going make the clutter last longer that I really want.

Nevermind, it will get sorted out eventually right. Right?
